Lightning Strikes Flyball Team – Surviving the Summer

Lightning Strikes Flyball team have been busy this summer attending several shows across the UK, all building up to the summer BFA Championships in August. So far, they’ve seen some drastic weather changes in the UK, from

pleasant and cool to sweltering temperatures of up to 40 degrees. Luckily, they are managing to keep their hard-working team of dogs, happy, healthy and hydrated, by keeping their DoggyRade stock full to give to the dogs between races!

In addition to the British Flyball Association shows the team has attended this summer, they also entered in the Crufts Flyball qualifier in July, coming away with first place and qualifying for Crufts 2023. At one particular show in July, the Lightning Strikes second team managed to set a new team PB of 15:2, resulting in them holding the title for the fastest all Border Collie team in the British Flyball Association; an amazing achievement! The team consists of four Border Collies, all home bred by the team captain.

According to Lightning Strikes, who run four teams of dogs throughout the year, “Our racing dogs have really seen the benefit of using DoggyRade. We also treat our older dogs who are our club mascots to some too; they always enjoy being included in a yummy treat! In the hotter weather, we have been using DoggyRade on a day-to-day basis to keep all our dogs hydrated. Whether it is a nice little drink following an early morning walk, or freezing DoggyRade or YummyRade as ice cube treats for them to enjoy. We really wouldn't be without it!”

DoggyRade is a proud sponsor of Lightning Strikes Flyball team, and we can’t wait to see how they perform in their upcoming competitions in 2022!
